Information that makes a coding recommendation more accurate
You do not need a finished specification, but the following evidence helps separate a credible coding route from a generic printer suggestion.
Samples and artwork
Send the actual label, film, pouch, carton, bottle or case where possible, together with the full code layout and the smallest and largest expected messages.
Line and controls
Include normal and maximum speed, product pitch, intermittent or continuous movement, available print window, sensor position and any PLC, database, ERP or MES requirement.
Acceptance and environment
Describe scanner or verifier requirements, rub or handling exposure, temperature, humidity, dust, washdown, product splash and the action required after a failed code.
